| Yes iv just been to Morocco,Agadir and have been looking up this hotel as we walked past if often, it looks like its basically finished and looks very nice- one of the most poshest looking. It is in a great location right on the beach, which is really nice and two minutes from the promenade which is great to walk up at night with bars and a good atmosphere. We would like to stay in the Royal Atlas next time, as we really liked the place and our hotel was really good (Agadir beach club) but this hotel looks really smart and is going to be popular! Jess

| Only just returned from Agadir. We were supposed to be staying there but it is not going to be open for several weeks. We were put in the Iberostar just up the road.We had a quick look around and it was out of this world inside. If the service is as good as the hotel looks it will be an amazing holiday.

| My partner and I and our 3 kids (4,7 & 16) are staying at the Royal Atlas from 24th August.
Encouraging to hear that the hotel's open now and looking good. We had been hearing some disturbing reports!
Likewise we've had notification that the basement disco won't be finished until November and have been assured by First Choice that the ongoing fit-out work to the basement areas (apparently work will be going on during the daytime) won't be disruptive in terms of noise etc, and there is an alternative disco a short distance from the hotel.
Unsure if any (early evening) childrens activities would have been available in the disco and if so are other arrangements being made. Anyone with any info on that?
Looking forward to going. Seen enough rain for one summer!!

| I have just returned and thought I would let you know my experiences. Firstly let me say that the hotel is beautiful and once everything is complete and up and running it will definitely warrant its five star rating on appearance and facilities (not on food or service though). My main problem along with other peoples was that we were informed all the facilities were complete which was a lie as there were workmen all over the place and the following was not ready:-
Spa partly opened on 7th Aug and still had lots of workmen down there as only the steam room and sauna was open.
Gym opened on 4th Aug but there was exposed wires and no air-conditioning.
Hairdressers were not open, not that I would have used it anyway.
Games Room was not open – this was used to store luggage!
Pool tables and tennis tables were still in Italy!!!
Some of the problems we had:-
• My son badly cut his hands and feet in the pool and even needed to see a doctor who gave him two lots of medication and cream. He was also informed not to go in the pool for two days!!
• Service was very poor any we even ended up having to set our own tables.
• Served cold chips at the pool bar and when we refused them they took them to another family round the pool area!!!
• Used towels were dried on the beach and then returned folded to the store without being washed.
• Room not ready as it was still been worked on so had to move.
• Never received towels for child or the bed was never made, asked every day for extra towels but we never once got them.
• Unable to get snacks from the pool bar between 12-3pm and from 3pm it's only ham, cheese or tuna sandwich with crisps.
• No ice-creams at any time by the pool or at meals.
• Food was cold and sometimes raw; we ate out a few times as there was nothing we liked.
If you are travelling with young children please note that there wasn't any high chairs when we were there.
For all the people who think we just spent out time moaning and didn't go with a positive attitude you can not be further from the truth. We had as good a time as possible and met some lovely people. Even the rep apologised when we were leaving the hotel who unfortunately wasn't able to come to the airport with us as there were too many issues to resolve at the hotel.
Good luck if you do go; I hope everything is sorted for your stay.

| Hi Just returned from The Royal Atlas Hotel in Agadir. Fantastic Hotel in maybe 2 months time but not quiet ready yet... or up to 5 star standard. The service in the resturant was slow, not enough staff!! Food was good although people complained of no fish and chips!!
It is Morocco not Spain afterall!! I couldn't fault the cleanliness of the rooms they were very impressive. The pools are very nice, plenty of sunloungers and also the beach is a shot walk away.
Hope you have a good time.

| I am going to this hotel for a week on the 29th.
Does anyone know if there is a dress code for the restaurants?
We were advised that there is still some construction work taking place on the Promenade and that the disco won't open until November. Also, some noise from construction works may be heard from some rooms but the hotel will do their best to allocate you a room where there is no or little disturbance.

| We are here right now 21st August half way through our &' night stay, nothing to complain about apart from the bloodt french keyboard lqyout in cyberroom. Ongoing work is carried out relatively quietly without disruption. Food is quite good based upon past experiences, no dress code in restaurant though perhaps there should be one for the standard of the hotel. Gym is complete, Sham (the instructor) will happily crucify you with a workout. No late snacks or ice creams yet and service can be slow. Perhaps we are just too impatient sometimes. Enjoy - It's better tan work.

| Hi - this info is brilliant as we are going to Royal Atlas on 12th September - never been to this area before and am concerned about money - do we change money in before we fly or when we get to the country - and can they change money at the Royal Atlas or some where close ?
