We went to Bellevue about 5 or 6 years ago now, and we really enjoyed ourselves! Have thought about going back a few times, but we haven't had chance to go back yet :(

It's a big site, with lots of pools etc, but it never felt crowded or anything.

The apartment we stayed in was basic, but it had everything we needed although there was no air conditioning (this might have changed now)

Are you self catering or Half board?

We stayed self catering and there are a couple of restuarants on site which were really nice. Just outside of Bellevue there is a street full of places to eat and drink, and there's even stuff like KFC and Burger King if you go a bit further down. There is a supermarket on site, and a couple down the street

As for spending money, i'm not sure how much you will need, depends if you are self catering or half board.

i can't really comment on prices, because we haven't been for about 5 or 6 years now, but when we were there it was quite reasonable, obviously some places are more expensive than others, just depends where you go really

I want to alicudia 6 years ago and hated it the food is horrid and its full of massive groups from tots to grannys. My friends stayed in the bellevue and hated it, it does have a bad rep.
Not wanting to out you off.
My sister went last year (not bellevue) and loved it but they did have a child with them which its more geared up for.
I remeber prices being about the same as home for drinks in bars!!

If you shop around you should be able to get a decent meal at a reaonable price. Don't go on the main drag, but look in the side streets. I've generally looked for where the locals eat as they won't waste money. As for cost, my rule of thumb is total holiday cost divided by number of holidaymakers, so a rough guess would be approx £400, but it all depends on whether you're night owls and if you smoke, cos you'll get through quite a bit on holiday.
Hope you'll have a rough idea!

hi,
i have been to majorca loads of times, i have found that in recent times that the prices are not that short of prices here, so you could guess your spending on what you might spend in the uk. also remember to take into account the water parks and any day trips you plan to do.
I havnt actually stayed at the bellevue in alcudia, but i do no that it is a big complex and very popular with families.
there will definatly be bars and restaurants although not the nightlife that you might expect in magaluf.
hope you enjoy it anyway
xx

Good luck with going to the bellvue, the mossies come out in force. I would advise you to try and read as many reviews on the bellvue on the web.

Alcudia is ok but ca'n picfort at the other end of the bay is better.

I don't know what time of year you are going but no air con at the bellvue. The bellvue is always coming up on the teletext companies very cheap. Always read as many reviews on the web as possible before booking a property.

Hi.
I went 2 the Bellevue 2 years ago with my boyfriend, it was fine! Not luxury but we had no complaints. Same as most other holiday apartments. (We stayed in Sirena 2 block, we think this was the best!)

The resort has lots of families & loads to do. The night life for us as a young couple was lively enough, although some bars were filled with teenagers aged 15/16. Didn't bother us though, were too busy boppin!

There are loadsa nice places to eat & the restaurants on site are really quite good too. Although don't try the buffet that the half-boarders get - it's horrid!!

The beach is amazing too.
I admit it is a bit tacky but we honestly had a great time. it's what you make it!

Just beware the mozzies - I got eaten alive, altho boyfy didn't seem 2 get bitten at all. I must taste nicer!
Think we took around £500 for 13 days between us (!) We ate out & went out every night & did things most days, & it was enough for us.

Hope this helps!

hi i was there in october 2007 the rooms are good plenty of space kettle, cooker, toaster. we went half board but ate out quite a lot i would also say the prices are same as uk prices the bellvue complex is huge it has seven swimming pools so plenty of choice its not a posh place its just average i would stop there again so i would not be worried about it is ok i would take something for the mossies but it dosent matter which hotel your in you can still get bitten ive been going to alcudia for years and never been bitten yet

Keep away from the brothel areas as there are gangs of pick-pockets. You should be safe if you lock yourself in your rooms after 5pm.

We went to the Bellevue a few years ago. After booking it, a colleague arrived back to say she didn't enjoy it at all...I was really worried. However, we enjoyed it so much the first time we went back again. Although it is a really big complex it doesn't feel like it, each apartment seems independent. The entertainment at night is so good, you see people coming from all over, not necessarily people who are staying at the Bellevue. Both my kids loved it also and were desperate to go back. The second time we went, we couldn't get booked in half board but had the opportunity to pay for it when we arrived - booking in. I would definitely recommend going here to anyone. We visited the water parks which were good for adults and kids alike. We jumped on one of the horse drawn carts and just walked back afterwards.

As a rule of thumb I allow 3-5 euro for breakfast and 8-15 euro for dinner, drinks are about the same cost as here. Not stayed in the Bellvue but as it is on a lake, you will get mossies. I have heard it suggested to use Avon Skin so Soft dry oil spray which is meant to ward them off, cheap enough to try. Alcudia beach is the best I have come across in Europe. The beach Cafe's are a bit expensive but one of the hotels backs on to the beach ( The Viva Golf) near the harbour has an outside cafe which is very resonable. Ignore the pessimists and enjoy yourselves.

club bellevue is a large complex with about eight pools one attatched to each block of appartments i went as a family of four all inclusive but my accomodation also had a kitchenette the room was comfortable and clean we had a few ants on the balcony and i can honestley say thats the only bad thing i can say and in my oppinion thats nothing. on the complex is a pub very reasonable a pizareia also very reasonable. the entertainment is good fun bingo in many languages in an open air seated area, entertainment every night we saw robbie williams tribute also westlife, fire eating dancing and outlandish acts that make you laugh.there is also a boat that will take you from the lake to the beach for a small fee.i would go out the main gates and by food it is much chaeper avoid the english chippy it is rank theres a good pub the other side of the bridge give the pancake man a go he is entertaining and the pancakes are fab you'll have a great time. as for money deppending if your partying every night i'd take at least a grand the beach is a ten minute walk away that includes window shopping the beach is fantastic although we found there is alot of ciggarete ends around the beach beds we just burried them a little deeper the sea is clean and you can go out a long way before the ledge ends.give the watermelon a try from the chap with the wheel barrow it is fresh and cooling give the beach toilets a wide birth pee in the sea.have fun and enjoy

i first went to the bellevue in aug 2004 had no complaints the family enjoyed every minute. i revisited again in 2005 and am now going back in 2 weeks time. always found the food in the buffet restaurant good and plenty to choose from and being buffet style able to fill yourself up for a nights drinking. visit the all stars pub near to the pancake man found the prices very reasonable. the beach is fantastic with safe bathing, plenty of beach bars to choose from. enjoy it as me and my family certainly will.
