| Thought i would like to let you all know of a scam that happens in the markets of the Algarve.
16 of us golfers on our day off golf in Vilamoura Algarve decided to go to the local flea market.
I was approached by a English man who noticed that i was smoking, he offered me knock down price on some ciggies, he then told me i dont have to pay him one penny till i checked out the merchandice.
Well a few of my golfing buddies also thought that this was fair and we ordered a few 1000 ciggies with him, he returned 1 hour later and then asked me to go around the corner to check out the ciggies before paying for them.
Me and a heavy looking mate went around the corner to check the ciggies out, yep they all looked genuine, we then went back to collect the money from my other friends to pay for them, went back around the corner, paid for the ciggies, picked up the box and returned to my other mates.
Yep you already guessed it,, the box was full of empty cardboard rubbish (they had switched the real ciggy box for a fake one). and no sign of Englishman.
So if something is to good a bargain then it isnt a bargain.
