Postby djfrostie on Wed Feb 23, 2005 2:06 pm

Hi Guys!
anybody heard or travelled with Gold Trail Holidays to Turkey imparticularly Altinkum?
we have booked two weeks b&b in September with them through Global Independent travel for 200 each from Bristol! including all suppliments and transfers which has to be good
BUT THE HOTEL PAMUKKALE hasn't been built yet so its all a bit of a gamble! so if anyone has details on Gold Trail,Altinkum,Hotel Pamukkale or freebird airlines (yes it gets scary now) please let me know!

Thanks Henry, read some good things about Altinkum, however Goldtrail is a bit of a mystery but not read anything good about them! the travel agent says that they have booked 70 clients with goldtrail this year from bristol, however First Choice said don't touch them!
and as for freebird airlines--they haven't even booked their slot at Bristol airport yet-so expecting some changes there then!!!...exciting isn't it!?

Good news is that Free Bird Airlines do have planes.

Free Bird Airlines started operations with a fleet of 3 medium range MD83 aircrafts in 2001. The last MD83 leased in July 2002 and the MD83 fleet expanded to 4 aircrafts. Each MD83 aircraft has 165 seat capacity. Free Bird Airlines aims to give the highest customer service to its passengers/partners.

I have travelled with Gold Trail many years ago. No complaints with that particular holiday.

However, many tourists have complained about their holiday with Gold Trail to Icmeler, Turkey. Generally speaking tourists have complained about accommodation being of low standard or the accommodation being changed at the last minute.

Sounds like a bit of a hit or a miss. However at 200 per person, it is a very good price.
