hi there, my partener and myself joined last year.everything seemed ok,all paperwork turned up when we got home etc,we organised our free week, our £200 cheque came, great we thought, until we got to sunset beach,we arrived to find, not a lovely clean spacious appartment like we had been shown when they were selling us the dream, but a very shabby tiny little place shoved out of the way somewhere,we went straight out to the desk and complained, they told us that the apartment was one of the allocated ones for people on their free weeks and if we wanted better we would have to pay for it.we refused, stayed there one more night then moved elsewhere,we are still trying too get out of the contract,we have bought into a new club and they have paid off sunset beach club, but we still havent been sent the deeds, which we need to send to the new ones, which are great by the way. good luck!

Hi there
Please let me know how you got on with Viva Access, as we have just paid the £895.00 deposit and are a bit nervous about going ahead. We have been reading the reports on this site and are not convinced. Thanks

Our advice is - unless you've done some research in advance and/or have actively sought out signing up to a holiday club or similar - cancel your agreement. They never live up to expectations. A very useful organisation to get advice from is www.timeshare.org.uk.

Please read all advice and comments and also check your paperwork very carefully to see exactly what you have signed for, also as the previous poster has said if in doubt cancel while you can.

benalmadena is a fab place, but i wouldn't ever be convinced these 'holiday' clubs are any good. the apartments that are shown are kitted out especially, but that is only what i have heard through this website..
i think there are more threads on this website that will tell you more. as HW they will tell you what threads there are.

Hi all, we 'purchased' this from the Holiday Village in September 08. It seemed okay, however we have not returned yet to see if we have been duped or not. I can say they (Holiday World) have rang us a few times asking if we are okay? any concerns etc, they have also rang last week (Tue 21st October 08) asking if we recieved our RCI and Viva-access stuff and when we would like to return for our free week....! Not sure where Gibraitar comes into it mind !? There was no mention of this during the sale, anyway so, so far so good. Were even thinking of taking the inlaws as a treat using the Embassy Gold Card' !!? Which has been okay'd and confirmed....
We are going back in April when the kids are off, so fingers crossed.
I must admit I still dont fully understand what I have to do to make this thing work..

Please can we have this forum moved to the holiday clubs/timeshare forum. To the last gentleman who wrote my answer is please re read your paper work and then work out what you have paid for, this can take a while to do so do it at a time and place where you can sit quietly as the paperwork is usually complicated.
