anyone know if you can upgrade from half board to all inclusive on arrival?

Whereabouts are you staying Winny. Some hotels only do half board. Others cater for lunch meals too, so it just depends what hotel you're staying at.

staying in Calella Palace i know they do have all inclusive, just unsure on the posibility of upgrade on arrival

you can upgrade to silver -free drinks with meals - or gold fully AI.

as far as i know they will not let you cherry pick the days you want AI, and it must be for all people on the booking including kids.
so, you will have to pay for all of you from the day you want to go AI for the remainder of your holiday.
i would suggest you spend day 1 having a look at the resort and check prices in some of the surrounding bars like beach boys and white horse before you commit yourself.
