Southern California escorted bus tour

My husband and I want to take a Southern California escorted bus tour. Has anyone travelled with Trafalgar , Insight or Globus Tour companies?

If so would you please comment of the quality of the tour company - hotels included stops etc.

One of our stops would be L.A. Which attractionss a best to see. Which tour is better for an older couple - Universal Studios; NBC; Warner or Paramount??

Any input would be most apppreciated.

Any of the three companies should be fine, Globus may be a little less expensive. It is vital to check the location of hotels, LA is 50 miles wide and if you want to explore yourselves, local transportation, which isn't brilliant in LA, needs to be considered.

As regards the tours Universal is full of kids and big 'theme park' style rides, NBC is a short conducted tour around the studios, when we went it was over in an hour and unless you have your own transportation, it may not be worth going just for an hour. I don't know what the Paramount tours are like but Warners gets excellent reviews, you see the studios working on a daily basis and travel around in small groups.

As you might tell from my name, my strongest recommendation is to visit San Diego only 100 miles further south, great weather year round and a beauiful laid back atmosphere. Many tours stop here befor going towards Vegas or the desert.
