Hi
We are booked into the Iberostar Tucan for July this year - and have had a letter saying the beaches at Playacar and reduced in size with erosion and in some cases are non existent ...has anyone come across this

My Profile 		I believe this may be the case as Friends of mine have recently been advised to move resorts. This is so sad , I stayed at the Tucan last year and it was fantastic - never been anywhere quite like it. The jungle is amazing and the entertainment team worked so hard. Hope you have a good time.

My Profile 		Hi Alex, we are going to the Tucan in a couple of weeks and we haven't heard anything about beach erosion. We stayed at this hotel in 2006 and it's a fantastic hotel, can't complain about a thing. They have a really good swimming pool there plus a swim up pool (but the water was cold in that one - needed a drink to warm up!!!). Anyway, I'll let you know when we get back.

My Profile 		i would advise u to have a quick look on trip advisor there are some piccies on there
i belive the beach was flat and now they have had to build steps to the beach .
