| We went here there last year! I have been to the Dom Rep loads of time over the last 20 years or so and it is an okay resort, probably not the best and probably not the worst but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and if you really dont like it you can always transfer to another hotel and as they charge in Ameican Dollars to change this can be inexpensive.
One thing that I have found about people is that they forget that they are in a very poor third world type country and they moan about the standards of almost everything not being as high as they might have expected. At the end of the day a holiday is what you make it and at Luperon the food is good the rooms are adequate with facilities including cable TV the drinks are good and hopefully the people there will be good company.
On the question of hurricanes, how many do you hear of per year? Exactly.
Finally see the forum on mozzies, anyway they are more abundant in the wetter months i.e Nov-April.
