I have read somewhere that Aruba is supposed to be the safest of the carribean isles as it is not normally on the hurricane path , however it did have some flooding this year when a hurricane did happen to pop on the coastal area.So anything goes really you cant predict anything these days.

Barbados is also one of the less likely area to be hit, but as previous poster advises you can't be sure of anything regarding weather! Why not just get a short flight to the Med where you'll be practically assured of hot weather and save the long haul for the winter?
