Celebrity Constellation - Baltic Capitals Cruise
We are booked on this cruise from Dover May 20 2006. Can anyone tell me anything about the ship, good and bad. How much are drinks? Are you allowed to take your own into the cabins? Are the trips worth doing or is it better to arrange your own.

Re: Celebrity Constellation - Baltic Capitals Cruise
Hello Brazil,
Long time no see, how was your cruise on the Magica?
You will find the Constellation a little more laid back than Costa, although there should be more English speaking aboard this time. The ship itself has the same level of luxury if not a little better in an American type of way. Prices on board about the same for drinks, food is top class.
We found the Baltic in general expensive, this was ten years back, and trips ashore are marginally cheaper by Taxi/ mini-bus than the ship although not as informative.
This is an awesome cruise and I am sure you will be delighted.
At the time we did our cruise you could still purchase drink ashore and take it aboard, given that a lot of Cruise Lines are now holding it in bond for you until you dis-embark. It still is not a problem when joining the ship at start of holiday, either packed into your cases or in hand luggage.
Don't tell anyone, but Mrs T and I smuggle our wine aboard in coloured water bottles, if they are not allowing us to take it on.
Hope this helps, certainly it should be a little better than Costa, and that is saying something.
