HI,
Anyone sailed on the Century ?

Re tipping, couldn't agree more about the expectation of tips before the event.
Mind you, in my experience, this is something brought on mainly by our transatlantic cousins. In the US, the tipping culture, with its almost fixed rates and pecentages, is one of the things I detest about visiting that part of the world. I never mind tipping if the service is ABOVE that expected, but to tip as a matter of course, is just not on. IMHO.

first of all, what are your questions or whatever for those people who have? secondly, i myself havent been on the century but can find out lmost anything for anyone who needs help. i will try to help you too!

I will be cruising on the Century shortly and am simply looking for folks who have experience on this vessel. eg Vibration levels, what are the best excursions, how far in advance do you need to book the speciality restaurants, average ages , and any other helpful info.....

Many cruise lines seem to be more than happy to take the tips in advance when you book the cruise. I hope that no more is expected !

Any experiences of this ?

i have a friend who has. she says the vibration level is minimum on most decks, the lowest is worst but not by much anyway the crew is normally down there. she prefers not to do the excursions and recomends you walk roung freely and in your own time. the ages are normally all mixed but mostly round the 30+ area. thats about all i can help you with but if you want i will try and find out more. hope i have helped. have a great cruise!
