Confused. Sharm Crowne Plaza, or Intercontinental Crowne Pla

I'm not sure if I'm reading about the same place, suddenly.

We booked and paid for our holiday last Thursday, but although I read a LOT of reviews from many sites, it is only becoming clear to me now that people are actually calling the two? different names. Is there just one, which is called more than one thing, or are there two - and is it possible I've booked the wrong hotel for our honeymoon in July!?

Getting a bit panicky now really.. I know Sharm well, but never did see this hotel and relied completely upon reviews. It will be our first break without the children in five years, so if someone could shed a bit of light I'd be more than grateful. Thank you

The crowne Plaza is a fabulous hotel but sometimes called the Intercontinental i think the name was added on recently. I have been to Egypt 4x, this being my 3rd time to Sharm and visiting again in 2weeks. There is soo much to do in the hotel, and as a swimmer the snorkelling is amazing and the the views are fantastic. Im sure you'll love it. Hope you have a great time.

Did you visit Sharm Crown Plaza? do you recommend it for children?
How was the food, beach, etc.. Thanks any response will be appreciated.

I am thinking to visit in the summer, and my family likes this hotel. But I would like your opinion.
