| Two things I'd be interested in knowing... 1) Is it worth taking tennis rackets (i.e. is the tennis court ok?) and 2) I was thinking of hiring a car for a couple of days to explore the island. Can you do that from the hotel? and if you/anyone did the same, was it worth it or should youu just sit back & enjoy the All Inclusive cocktails?

We didn't look at the tennis court, but to be quite honest I think it would be too hot for anyone to play tennis as the temp was up in the 40's some days.
You really need a car if you want to get out and about to explore the island, we didn't bother as we did a cruise the first week and we really needed a relaxing week after that as it was so hectic. I'm sure the hotel would be able to arrange this for you once you get there. They run a bus into the town four times a day, which takes about 40 minutes, but the last bus to come back is at 2.15 in the afternoon which is rather early, I heard someone say that a taxi would cost 20 euros, I think that was return.
