Please can anyone tell us what its like at Yucca Park apartments, Fanabe?
We usually hire a car and would wish to park it not too far from the apartment. Christmas fortnight.

ARE you concerned about parking restrictions? The complex is just across the street from the Promanade, and Beach. Never remember the street names but you can certainly park within a stones throw of the Resort. Enjoy!

Many Thanks, Willself. We normally stay in Central Playa de Los Americas ove Christmas, but are being dumped to Fanabe as, we think, the time share has let out our apartment!

I am very familair with the area and have seen yucca park appts many times - I am trying to buy one as we speak. The appts are clean, the hotel offers a nice bar for drinks, snacks etc and the pools are very clean - their is even a full time lifeguard. Some reviews have said that some of the appts need a touch up but overall i would say you are in a great location. If you turn right out of the appts you will come to del duque which is a beautiful area.
In terms of parking their are spaces outside and even a mulitstorey (underground) right across the road.

MJW, many thanks for your encouragement and information.
We fear our time-share may now be trying to 'push' us into Villas Canarias, which is the wrong side of the motorway and unsuitable for my wife who has difficulty with walking up hills. We also suspect that it may be too young family oriented for this retired couple. From your recommendation, it would apear that Yucca Park should be the one we should push for out of the two.
When you have bought your apartment, if you wish to let it out, do please let us know how much you would want for rental for weeks 51 and 52 (in a future year). I hope you're not buying time-share. We have found the whole time share scene to be infiltrated in all ways and at all levels by criminals and fraudsters. I've been to the Old Bailey as a witness three times as a result.
Our time-share seems to expect to place us in either Yucca Park or Villas Canarias for two weeks, starting 24 Dec, for 330, the maintenance we pay them.
Thanks again,

Life-Guard
I believe Life-Guard is a legal requirement now in all parts of Spain (EU?) where the pool is above a certain (medium) size. As a result, our mainland Spain apartment complex reduced the size of its main pool in order to avoid the cost of a life-guard. Which is strange when you consider that you don't need more than a couple of square metres of pool surface to drown in.
