Pineda De Mar, Costa Brava

hi, were due to go to Costa Brava, stayin at the Hotel Merce in Pineda De Mar on 24th sept......
can anyone give me any comments (good or bad) on either the hotel or resort , would be v much appreciated!!!
also whats the weather like in costa brava at this time??

pineda is a bit quiter than calella which is next door and walkable.
weatherwise it should still be beach weather.
