Crete in October

Anyone know what the weather would be like. Also, will everything be open around this time?

was there in july and weather was brill.however when i was chattin to some1 and sayin i wudnt mind comin back in october time maybe,she told me that a lot of the apartments closed for the winter around that time.im not sure if it was the start or end of oct she was talking about.

hello, I have been looking at the Greek islands in depth for the last few weeks and have just booked to go to Rhodes in October. Weather wise should be fine and warm in October, I have booked to go on the 1st in the hope that the weather will be good! I reckon too that most places will be open still as the summer brochures run until the end of October.
Not sure if that was useful, but at least you have had a reply now!!

Just came back today from Agios Nicolaos and the weather was diabolical yesterday before we left. most restaurants will be winding down for the year as the weather tends to deteriorate any time now.
It is still pretty warm though .
PS. Hope you like the food as every restaurant seems to cook the same things the same way.

i have been to crete most years in oct going again this year,last year it was 34degrees it is still hot that time of year
