Lyda Beach in Crete

Is it really as bad as the reviews say??????

Hi,
We stayed there two years ago and had no difficulties except the food was not the best...you can get great food in the town centre, best is probably the da vinvi code restaurant.
Whatever you do stay away from the cafe at the left of the lyda as you exit...worst food in all of crete.
Lovely small beach opposite the hotel.
