| Hi Cookie here I work and live in crete.
Hersonisses has good shops, bars and clubs but there is not real beach, Stalis has lovley beaches good resturants, bars, dance bars and is a very popular place for couples young and old groups as well as families, it is in between Hersonisses and Malia so if you want a different location day or night it is a euro on the bus and approx 7 euro by taxi also Star water park is in between stalis and hersonisses
If you would like apartment information let me know.

| Hi,Snozzer here,
We have been to Crete twice, the first time to Stalis and the second to Elounda. We are now in our early 30's and like you do not do the clubbing thing but do like a resort that has enough bars and tavernas to have a bit of atmosphere and a nice beach.I think Stalis might be a bit to busy now but you will love Elounda-it has a nice beach,a lovely harbour area where the bars and tavernas are and is quite lively if you want it to be and at the same time, quite chilled!!DO NOT GO TO HERSONNISOS,it's scruffy and reminds me of Blackpool.Does it have to be Crete?we have been going to Greece every year for the last 16 and believe me-there are much nicer islands than Crete!!

| I don't agree that there are much nicer islands than Crete. There are plenty as nice but you do get a lot of diversity with Crete being as big as it is.No matter what sort of holiday you want you can find it in Crete. Why not try the resorts around Chania.(Kalives,Georgiopolous,Maleme etc).

| I personally thought Crete was one of the nicer islands I've been to but I've only really ever been to the south east area (with day trips to the north). I dont like nightclubs when I'm on holiday and prefer to just relax and eat good local food so it suits me.
