| Hi Katie 52
We had a fab time and all our worries were unfounded after we boarded the Calypso, This was a much better organised ship than last years , Our cabin was clean and quite with a large window view. The walls are quite thin and you could hear next door getting up at 7.00 each morning pulling in and out of the draws which was a bit annoying. But on the whole a quiete cabin with very little noise from the engine or funnel. Food was good and plenty of it. Entertainment excellent. Our Cabin attendant Alisa was effitient in cleaning our cabin and had clean towels each day. Alisa was very pleasant to talk too nothing was to much trouble for her. Her animals made out of the towels were on the bed when we came in on an eveving as was a chocolate on our pillow. We asked for a bucket of ice which she brought in each day too, it wasn't any trouble to her. All entertainment was good the service from the waiters was quick they all had a smile and were happy to be working. The pool very small and very cold which is situated near the bistro which does not get much sun really at that end of the ship. Plenty of sun beds and chairs with tea making facilities at each end to keep you quenched
Excursions were expensive as you could do your own for far less by taxi or bus.
If you need any further info let me know. I have wrote a review but mabe it takes time to get on site and you may have sailed by then.
Have a good time and lets know what you think of the caypso

| Hi Bo, glad you got your tickets and that you enjoyed the Calypso this year. I too have to do a review but (like you) there were a million things to be done after a holiday. By the time I was on the ship last year (September) a lot of the earlier problems had been solved. This year it was very much a ship and staff in control and organised. I have booked for June and October next year and then it will be goodbye to the Calypso. Trying to get a cheap(ish) week on the Emerald this year before I have to say goodbye to her. The best thing about the Thomson ships is that they are personal - you make a connection with the staff and crew. Having been on a number of the "big" ships e.g. Emerald Princess - I really would not care if they were taken out of service. I had great times but never really felt that staff and crew had any personal interest.

| Hi Mtek
All staff say hello to you from Calypso, Frances waits for your return. I have given him the website address as he wants to see what this site is about after I told him we met only on this site and exchange holiday tips and reviews, he was so interested he said he was going to send you a line or two.
