Imperial Majesty Cruise Scam

Cruise

I was contacted by these guys a week or so ago to do their 'survey' and win a couple of boarding passes for a cruise. It all sounded too good to be true.. I then forgot all about it until today when they called again offering exclusive deals to Orlando, Vegas etc. I have to say it all sounded very tempting. When I said I needed time to think about it they really put on the hard sell. I was then passed to Fred McKenzie who claims he's from London SW12, he offered to mail me some info and call me back later this evening. I am glad I looked this outfit up. I will definitely not be booking this holiday! He is due to call at 8pm and I shall tell him the whole thing is a scam. I'll let you know if he has anything interesting to say...

Hi there guys and girls. Yeah i got a call, answer a few marketing questions and we'll give you two free cruise tickets. Ok i said, and i answerd the q n a. Said they'd have someone call next day for the details. Next day i get a call, a recorded message saying congrats on winning the tickets, just call this number to arange everything. It's a number for America, they give you the international code, they must target people outwith the US!
It sounded like scam from the start, then i knew it was when they wanted me to phone America. I haven't called nor do i intend to but they're recorded call has called me twice a day since and that was well over a week ago.
So beware people! Just use the old rule of thunb: if it sounds to good be true, it probably is. Personally, i ignore the word probably.

Hi all

It would be interesting and maybe helpful to people if those who take up the offers and actually go on the trips give sime feedback about the experience.

I have received numerous calls and mailings over the years offering discounted and promotional cruises. Today was one of those times, at 11am GMT, 3am Florida time I answered a call from Kenneth from Imperial Vacation Cruise Line. I also spoke with his supervisor Chris Harris and Tracey who confirmed my booking. All 3 have been very professional in answering my questions I brought 2 packages for £540 approx. I am very clear about what I have brought and expecting to receive my confirmation pack within 14 days. The offer included full board for 2 adults 2 children 14 day car rental (+insurance) 2 nights 2 day mini cruise aboard Regal Empress to Bahamas 3 nights Full board in Fort Launderdale and 6 nights at Ramanda Orlando also full board, I am yet to confirm when and required to buy flights. The company and promotion seems to be genuine I've not been offered a free lunch nor do I expect one, I expect if any thing to pay a little more to make some upgrades perhaps for cabin and car rental. All of these previous posts have of course made me sceptible although all are very common in that their confidence has been knocked because of the cold call. Has anyone actually followed through? My Mastercard has confirmed if there is any aspect of fraud they will reimburse me. I've been in marketing for many years, cold calling is big in USA and hotels and cruiselines do not want empty cabins or rooms. If the low-cost airlines can do it why not these guys? I am not going to cancle but await receipt of the info pack, if it doesn't arrive within 14 days I shall have 16 days under Florida law to claim a refund? Fingers crossed it all works out. I will update my posts based on progress and experience. Whats to loose if Mastercard are protecting me from fraud??

Having purchased 2 packages I was horrified to learn the cost of flight for the 4 of us was almost £3000. Therefore I called the customer service number and cancelled the sale. At first I was offered discount voucher for the flight worth 20 - 50% but insisted the deal was off. They offered my half of my money along with moneyback guarantees and various sweetners. I was adamant the deal was off, their agent tried his best to keep the sale in bed, I was needed to remind him of Florida State Laws to which he conceded the argument and agreed to refund all my money, a process that can take nine days. I offered to return all materials they had arranged including the flight discount vouchers, he wasn't bothered either way. All the staff were very professional throughout the entire transacation, I will continue to investigate further once I receive the posted materials, on the face of it, it seems a great deal providing you can yourselves to the US at a reasonable cost.

Replying to blue genies post. I also got the same offer, today, and same as u fell for it. I put my name in a draw for this trip and won i guess. They make it sound so good, like your a real winner and this is a once in a life time chance, well i was dumb and gave them my credit card number and after reviewing all the blogs on the internet am pretty sure im ******. Well i called them back and ask, since i am in college and cant really afford the 500$ they charged me could i pay it later on, when im out of school. They immediately sayed that they would give me half my money back. So now i am going to do the same as u and wait for the package to come in the mail, but now it seems hopeless from what u sayed.y about the thing but very hopeful that everything works out and the trip is a go. Not very happy about this whole thing, people shouldn't have to worry about crap when planning a vacation. One valuable lesson i have learned out of all this is never ever ever give out your credit card number over a phone.

Not sure what to do.
Could anyone confirm that they got there money back because of the in Florida stating that any consumer may be reimbursed the total cost within 30 days of purchase. Hoping the same laws apply in Canada. Thanks for reading and please reply, anything helps.

Good day, everyone.
I called to the compnay to ask refund, but they said my package was purchased over 30 days ago.
So they won't give me refund?
Is there any chance to get my money back?
Thanks.

reply to ChesterWeng

dont panic, i to have had all the call and have agreed to go on this trip after much panic onset by all the above messages and deliberations we have decided to go for it

i have spoken at lenght with a specialised engineer at Majestic Cruises and they have assured me that its not a scam and furthermore they are aware of all the bad press they getting on the web (a lot of it has been posted by disgruntled sacked ex employers) Majestic Cruises assured me that in with my papers there will be a written 100% money back guarantee if the trip does not deliver what it claims it will.

note how all the postings on this are from people that read all the postings and have decided that it must be a sham? none of them seem to have got as far as receiving their papers?

if you still want your money back you can get it as the 30 days (change of mind policy) activates when you get your papers not when you paid yuor initial payments?

the number to call from the UK is 001954 331 4123 - call them and ask for Charles Johnson he was very professional and re-assuring
