| Has anyone been on Nautica? I can't find the Oceania forum on HW - maybe there isn't one!!! My mum is going on Nautica on Monday 7th July. She is aware that the drinks are expensive as a ridiculous percentage is added to the price - regardless.
But she appears to be a bit aprehensive regarding the prices on board full stop ... I would be really grateful if someone could reply either positively (preferably) or negatively - at least she will be prepared. My mum is not a first time cruiser, she has cruised Canberra, the origianl Oriana, Oriana, some QE ship! and more, I don't know what she is worried about..........................

| Hi Nimrat,
Can't help too much with this Cruise Line or ship.
Know it is surposed to be the height of luxury and rated as 5 star, classed as Premium class.
She is very small at about 700 passengers & 30,000 tonnes, being a luxury I would expect drink prices to be a little higher than most but not excessively so, but do expect high prices on class wines, I doupt if any bottle would be under £25. If it is anything like 'Clipper Cruises' then we did not find the prices to bad, given the price of the cruise.
Sorry can't help more.
God forgive me but you could try Cruise Critic

| I cannot help you with drink prices, but I would suggest that your mother should read cruise critic/ports for lower cost yet reliable shore excursions in the ports involved. Oceania sponsored excursions are expensive. Also, do not believe all the hype generated by "cheer leaders" who post on the Cruise Critic Oceania forums. The overall experience is considerably less rosy than they picture it. The Oceania forum is especially misleading, by my recent experience.
