Re: Wedding Playa Pesquero Cuba
We spent the first two weeks in july at Playa pesquero. Hotel lovely and staff very helpful and friendly. Weather was typical for time of year which included very heavy rain storms. They are short lived and the sun always comes out as soon as they have passed. We spend most days on the beach and saw plenty of happy couples getting married. You would be unfortunate to have bad weather for your wedding , the only thing I thought as I watch the brides is dont wear a veil as there is usually a strong breeze on the beach and they seemed to be more trouble than they were worth. The horse drawn carriage was a lovely touch but the rest of the wedding guests arriving in golf buggies was a little funny.I am sure you will have a fantastic time and if it rains it rains it wont spoil your day.
When you travel to Cuba take extra supplies of every day medication to give to the staff. Its a good way of tipping and very much appreciated. Luxuries like these are hard to come by and very expensive so buy extra pain killers, antiseptic creams, plasters etc .
The only down side to our holiday was a trip to Holguin hospital with my daughter to had a fall from a horse. It was the worst place I have ever set foot in. Couldnt decide what it reminded me of but came up with... a scene from Mash or a scene from a 1960's phsyco movie
Have a fantastic time
