Hi
What type of bridesmaid dresses are you having? You could always consider a very fine shawl that drapes over the arms and around the back and just let it hang this will hide a multitude of sins!
Good luck on the day any way!

hi chrissy
the dresses are in a very light gold colour, in two pieces and tie at the back like a corset. they are really lovely dressers my cheif bridesmaid looks fab in hers it is just my fiances sister who looks dreadful in hers as she is in a size 18 - 20 and is only 11.
unfortunatley i am going to have to change the younger ones dress, do you think it is possible to do this and just keep the colour of the dresses the same? i have been looking on the internet for ideas and i did look at having her wear a shawl but again i think she would look dreadful
thanks for you help

The best thing to do is go back to the shop where you purchased it - on your own at first and explain the situation and see if they can offer an alternative style in the same colour.
Because of the bridesmaid age be careful what you say, because if she gets a slight hint that you think she looks awful, not only will she be upset but she may end up like my eldest daughter and start making herself sick or starving herself, those years were the worst of her little life. She is fine now but a simple comment like "look at your little podge" made her feel that she had to make herself sick/starve to get rid of it.
She probably knows she looks awful in it, but, please be kind.
I am sure the shop will assist you, after all you are the customer and the customer is always right.
Good luck

Let me know how you get on.

Why dont you dress her in a different dress all together. What you could do is get another dress that compliments her shpare in the same colour or different shade and ask her to be the person to give your favors out. she then will feel happy as she will feel she has a responsiblilty in the wedding and it then doesnt matter if she doesnt have a matching dress. If there is any bows or accents on the other dresses that you could add to the new dress so that they all tie in it would be better. Dont worry about it being an exact as different shades and hints of the same colour does the job just the same if not better.
Hope this helps, if you want to send me a picture of the dress i can give further options.
Good luck!
