Hi Sharon

My name is Ev and my company is Cyprus4weddings based in Limasol.

Im not suprised you are confused, wedding venue rules change from area to area from town hall to town hall. In limassol you have the option to get married at Yermasoyia town hall where you would have a civil service ( similar to a UK registra wedding) its a beautiful venue and if you would like any photos send me your email address and i can send some over.

The Elias beach hotel in Limassol has now built its own chapel on their Pier and if you are happy to have an Anglican service this can take place at their chapel. Normally this would be inside the chapel but recently the church have said that as long as the guests are stood on the steps on the chapel with the minister the guests can all be outside, which offers a church wedding with an outdoor feel

If you wanted to stick with a civil service again there is an area on the Elias beach pier that can conduct a civil service but a visit to the town hall is still required to complete some paperwork.

Your witnesses must both be over the age of 18. Again i can email you information on what legal documents are required once you have chosen your wedding date and venue, and are ready to book your wedding

I hope this has given you some ideas and feel free to email me at evelyn@cyprus4weddings.com

Thanks Ev

Hi,

Limassol is a nice place te held your wedding. I would also advise you to consider other resorts like Paphos and Protaras.
Since you are divorced you will need the Decree Absolute that was issued by the court once the divorce was made final. The official document will bear a red or embossed court seal. Copies of the document can be obtained from the court manager where the decree was issued.
Not CHRISTENED is not an issue provided you are not helding a formal church ceremony.
Should you require further info on legalities please do not hesitate to contact me on theo.cyprus@hotmail.com
Regarding wedding services we can offer to you photography, video services, limos and other transportarion vehicles like traditional bus, Rolls Royce, etc.
We can also arrange flowers like buttonholes, corsages and bridal bouquets or anything else you might need.

Kind Regards,

theo.cyprus@hotmail.com

We are thinking of getting married in Paphos in June 2007 too! We are looking at an anglican church wedding (Ayia Kiriaki is the favorite so far) and we would like a taverna/restaurant for the reception - I have looked at Zucchini's but awaiting details of prices etc at the moment - I think this will work out a bit cheaper than the big hotels. I will let you know of progress - we were looking at getting married over here but it's working out to be so complicated and expensive - who to invite etc! htb has set his heart on cyprus.

Thanks, I have just sent an e-mail to Zucchinis so hopefully will get things sorted. You're right about next year though - it seems everyone wants to go to Cyprus! I spoke to a friend of mine last night who knows someone who got married out there a couple of years ago - she said it was beautiful and everyone really enjoyed it. She thoroughly recommended it - they had the reception at the Annabelle. Good luck with your plans!

Hi Ksw congratulation in choosing Cyprus for your dream wedding.I to get married out there at the Ayia Kiariki church in Paphos this October, and booked with Cyprus Dream Weddings.Zucchini is a lovely wedding reception venue but it was out of our budget. They book up really fast and most people end up booking the reception a year in advance.Have fun planning your wedding.

lucky,
we have just priced everything up and it is a bit over our budget too but I really like the look of it - also the date we wanted is not available for Zucchinis so we are looking at other dates now - possibly October 2007. Where are you staying and having your reception? I have been trying to locate places similar to Zucchinis but not managed to yet!
You will have to let me know how everything went when you get back home! Good luck planning!
