Hi all,
I am also trying to organise my Wedding for September 2009, I have chosen Paphos but I haven't got a clue where I would like to get married.
I like the look of the Coral Beach Hotel as it seem to be the only hotel that you get a private location for the ceremony and reception.
Has anyone got any advice on private locations for the ceremony and good locations for the reception of around 30 guests including children?
I am considering booking through a coordinator but cant help but think that I would be able to arrange everything myself and save a lot of money as we only have a small budget.
Any advice or recommendations would be fantastic.
Thanks

I think the first papragraph sums up why you need a wedding planner, alot of people come on these various sites to gain access to info but they get a varied & un-reliable feel about the resort.
there are plenty of lovely places where you can have a private location in paphos area, problem with coral bay area is that it is out on a limb
The main reason that you need a planner is that there is very little anyone can do from the UK unless that person comes over for a week or so & does the rounds looking at the various locations along with what docs you require for the civil marriage, licence, venue's & such like.
I am not saying you are the same but the last person who said she was on a budget I found out she paid CYP2700 for a boat after the ceremony

If you need any info regarding what a planner does drop me a line

mrs squiffy,
concur with kev unless you want to come over to cyprus a lot to sort things out
good one stop shop for weddings is :- galerie of cards incorporating cyprusoccasions. they have a wedding/card/gift shop that is located close to a large number of hotels in paphos and deal with a number of planners. check them out if you like

Hi Sharon,
I used them and they are wonderful!! I liased with Georgia who is great , and Lakis the owner. They did everything I asked for and some. The reception I has was at the Atlandida in Paphos. They suggested getting a coach for my guest on the Saturday, I agreed to it on the Sunday and the coach was there to pick up my guests to and from the reception, meaning that the ceremony started on time on the Monday. That's just one of the good service I got. They went through everything with me and even incorpoated some last minutes changes without question. I definately recommend them. I would tell them your budget, must have's and number of guests, including children. I wouldn't say that I was a bridzilla but I was pretty close, so they must have been excellent.
Good luck!
