Hi, myself and my girlfriend have been looking at holidays in Cyprus for the end of Aug. We are both 24 and not looking for anywhere too lively eg Aiya napa but would like a choice of bars and restaurants.
We have up to 8-9 hundred pound to spend each and are looking for something luxurious (5* would be nice) and with a nice beach, all inclusive is not a must but for that money we would like to get at least half board.
We have been reading lots of reviews but some of them are so contradicting to others it's hard to know what is true and what is make believe! Anyone had any really nice holidays in Cyprus lately? Your help would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks, Scott and Rebecca

My Profile
| The Apollonia in Limassol is in a good location and situated right on the beach.
You can have HB or AI option there I think. My friend stays there every Christmas and treats herself to one of the seaview rooms. The pool area is lovely and so is the seating area around the terraces.
Beaches in Limassol are dark sand so don't expect white sand beaches - you only get them in Ayia Napa & Protaras.
The hotel is in the main tourist area of Potamos Germasoyia so you won't have far to go to find plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel is set far enough off the main road not to be inconvenienced by noise from the bars etc.
My other favourite is the Mediterranean Beach hotel, which is near to Ayios Tychonas part of the tourist area. It's next door to the Four Seasons hotel, which is very nice but a bit pretentious as is the Le Meridien.
Med Beach has a fair choice of bars and restaurants nearby but Meridien is set very low down and a fair walk to the nearest bars etc. Also, there aren't as many bars at that end.
