can anyone tell me when you go all inclusive in a hotel is there just a bedroom and bathroom as we havent been all inclusive before but does that mean my husband and myself and 14 year old son have to share the same bedroom or is it bedroom bathroom and a bit of a lounge area with a pull out sofa bed or do we look for appart hotel as it would be a little awkward sleeping in the same room as my son any advice much appreciated

All Inclusive Question

Hi Porker, nice chatting to you last night. I'm sure someone who pops in will be able to answer your question. Someone with teenagers must have been on an AI.

I think either Iain or Jan might be able to help you.

I'm sure when you inform the holiday company the age of your son they won't expect him to sleep in the same bedroom as you and your husband.

Good Luck :))

All Inclusive Question

Postby digs123 on Sat Feb 17, 2007 1:29 pm

We went all inclusive in Sharm last summer and previously to Kos. On both occasions the room had 3 single beds. No lounge area in either. We did have an interconnecting door in Sharm. We have booked all inclusive in Kenya for this September and as we booked early we have interconnecting rooms at no extra charge so its worth looking around.

Hope this is of some help.

there would be extra charge if you wanted a room seperate for your son but a small supplement if you were happy to share the room.

When we went to America, our son then being about 10 year old, we never gave the room business a thought. They told us the room number, gave us the key and that was that. I must admit I nearly died when I saw it was one large room with 2 double beds, our son being right next to us.....it does course problems....if you know what i mean.

Hi Porker

I think it all depends which hotel and place you are staying in. But going on past experience I would ask for two rooms or connecting rooms to be on the safe side, it may cost you a bit more but be worth it and I think your son will find it great having a room to himself It will give him that bit of indipendence as well, you wont be under each others feet and he will have to keep it tidy himself. Oooooh Sounds a Good idea to me.

All Inclusive Question

My daughter (Miss Chavette) and I are going AI to Sharm in a few weeks time but only have one room. Because we share the same surname, last year they gave us a double bed! They soon switched it for twin beds.

I would guess that's it would be down to the invidual hotel as to what facilities are on offer...joining rooms etc etc.

I know that the AI rooms that were available in the last hotel I stayed in didn't have any joining doorways.

Thinking about it...rooms in Europe generally cater for 2 people with either a double or twin beds. In the USA of course a room is usually always for 4 people and you nearly always get two king size beds!!

Doesn't really help you I know but I would suggest trying to contact the hotel in advance to clarify the situation
