I think we all need to be cautious wherever we go nowadays even a trip to London/manchester/birmingham etc can be classed as dangerous nowadays
But even though we must be a lot more suspicious we can't all spend the rest of our lives thinking what if-just make sure you keep alert at all times
and let security worry about the rest. I hate flying but know that if I didnt fly then i would never see some of the beautiful countries that I have.

Nothing will stop me travelling, we go on our hols twice a year and the security at the airport is so good. Terrorists are everywhere. Crossing the road can be dangerous!! Flying is supposed to be the most safest way of travelling. For me, I'm more frightened in the car when my husband is driving!
If you really thought about all the dangers outside, no one would go anywhere.

I work in the city centre I see more danger here than I have seen anywhere. I feel like I am risking my life travelling home from work of all the places I have been in the world I can say I feel less safe in this country than anywhere else I have been ever!!!

Hi dolly,

Funny you should mention being afraid and risking your life in Birmingham, I was born in Birmingham, moved when I was 10yrs old. So, I remember the bombing in the centre, my husband and myself very often go to Brum on the train shopping, and I must say, I would never go on my own. I know I should not say this but even Stratford is not safe in the evening, I for one would not walk around Stratford at night alone!

isnt it sad that this is the case nowadays - I have no choice but to walk around the city on my own whether its dark or not. I really hate it - I will keep doing the lottery though !!!!

eee, you could get knocked over by a bus tomorrow.........

so why not get knocked over by an elephant or tuk-tuk instead, far more interesting than the number 39.
