Familt holiday May 2009, any advice please???

Postby ejay on Fri Apr 11, 2008 6:38 pm

Hi, we are looking to go somewhere hot but not unbearable with my husband and 2 children who will be 8 & 5, I would love the Sandy beaches etc, we are looking for a nice hotel either half board or all inc, thats not too noisy of a night!!! The brochures are baffling us as everywhere looks nice! Many thanks, Emma x

P.s we were originally planning on Egypt but have looked into it more and think it will be too hot?

Costa Caleta in Fueteventura is very family orientated. A lovely quiet resort with a wide sandy bay. The hotel Costa Caleta does a/i and we found it lovely and very quiet at night, but only 10 mins to shops and beach

I'd be inclined to agree with Costa Caleta. We took our children there when they were younger and it has a breeze which cools the air. There's a zoo on the island and a trip to Lanzarote on the boat is another day out.

Its not noisy at night as its a family orrientated resort. Never saw a single night club.

Another alternative would be Costa Teguise on Lanzarote. Again family friendly. Both have sandy beaches.

We did Egypt in August and its absolutely boiling. We went this March and it was perfect.

Or if you dont want to travel so far have a look at Sa Coma , Majorca, we had our 1st family holiday there, lots for the kids to do and the beaches are stunning, shallow and safe.

Hi, thanks for all your reply, will defo bear in mind one of the Canary Islands for a future holiday but we have booked to go to Can Picafort in Majora at the Son Baulo hotel, got a free child place so it bought the cost down a little! Thanks again x
