"Hi all

Just a quick note to let you know we have today been refunded by the entire amount we paid to unbeatableholidays.

We originally paid via visa DEBIT on a Nationwide account. This was refunded via the "chargeback" scheme. The amount was just short of £1000.

So to all who paid via debit card, dont give up !!

Sarah & Dave" --- Oncebitten

Brilliant news for lots of people who can now argue the point if they need to, Thanks for letting us know,
Jan :)

Debbie:

On Monday morning alone they recieved approx 200 forms - it will take them time to process these all.... you will get your crime reference.. and get your money back!

Hi Debbie

Our branch of Nationwide never asked us for a crime reference, they said it would automatically be dealt with by their fraud dept.

We are very impressed with them as it only took 8 days from reporting it to getting our money back

Morning Sarah/Dave,

Just out of interest, when were you due to fly out? I get the impression the woolwich are only interested in paying out after the date of travel has actually passed.

Just to let everyone know.

We have emailed the Hotel where we where supposed to be staying in English then a Spanish pal said they might ignore it so he sent it for us in spanish, still waiting for a reply ? Our flights where supposed to be with Thomsons any one got the number for Thomsons. Still waiting on a reply from the Halifax Bank on our Debit Visa Card if or not we get our money back?

The Liverpool Daily Post put the story in their paper unfortunatley they didnt mention the actual web sites or tell every one that they must contact the MET Police and file in the proforma and send it back to the Police, although I gave them all the website addressess and told them to tell the people to go on to this forum for more information. So I feel as if it was classed as just another story ? They didn't put the story in the main Liverpool Echo which was a bit of a dissapointment as more people read the Echo.

Great news that, I think we will give them a call to get a letter stating that they are going to pay us our money then I will go and see if we can book some where else.
