further to my last post i have now emailed my local news (itv meriden) who very rapidly contacted us and came round for interview; we appeared on the news this evening and since then the daily echo have contacted us and we are seeing them tomorrow morning!

I may not be getting our money back or my dignity but i'm sure as hell going to highlight these cowboys as much as i can - i urge you all to do the same.

Hi,
My son and his girlfriend found a holiday they liked the look of and asked if I would book it for them. I did a google search and found nothing untoward about the company so I booked it in July and they were to fly to Rhodes on 23rd August. Within a few days confirmation of the flights arrived with Libra holidays as the tour operators and the flight number as FCA2386. I checked these out and found that the flight times were correct for a flight operated by First Choice Airlines from Manchester to Rhodes.

I phoned the company a week ago as the flight tickets had'nt arrived and was told they would arrive 7 days before travel. As they had'nt arrived today I tried to contact them again and found that the phones were'nt working and the website has disapeared.
I'm fairly certain that as I paid using a credit card I will get a refund but that won't make up for the disapointment I felt when I had to tell them their holiday was'nt going to happen.

The old adage "if it looks too good to be true then it probably is" certainly fits in this case. I'll reflect on that tommorrow when I'm spending time at the police station, trading standards etc.

Just off to look for a substitute holiday but will definately only be using ATOL/ABTA providers.

i have just found out that i have been duped by this company i noticed by checking my credit card statement, which they had actually charged me for the price of 2 holidays.
i immediately went to the site that i booked and found it no longer existed so i tried the telephone number which is no longer in use.
after finding this website i conteacted my credit card company who are going to contact the company themselves, they are then going to investigate it and if what i said is true then they will reverse both payments.
I also informed the police who were very helpful.
fingers crossed that hopefully you are all able to recover your money.

I really think under the cirumstances that people who paid by credit/debit card contact their banks about cancelling their cards as these people who have been taking money for fake holidays will still have their victims card details. Just to cover yourselves.

We (Holiday Watchdog) are now in touch with many UK national newspapers regarding this situation.

Once we have more info on I shall pass it on.
