Hi all, I have also received a form to apply for compensation. I'm not quite sure which section to complete but will check on that and then post it off. It seems from the reports posted on this site that the courts have managed to get a lot of the swindled money on hold, so here's hoping we will al least get a decent amount of our cash back, if not all. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to keep this site up and running.

hi all, I have also received a compensation form from the police regarding the holiday scam, so things are looking promising. Hopefully those of us who have paid by cheque stand a good chance of getting our money repaid. Thanks to all who have kept us informed to the court proceedings, I really hope the low-life scammers receive a long time behind bars.
Fingers crossed on both counts.

Hi, hopefully you will have all heard the news and all the defendants went to court today, they were all sentenced anything up to 7 years each. Hopefully now we'll get some money back, check this link out which tells you everything:

what a shame she cried when sentence was passed good ridance
she should have been here when i found out we had lost the money i had booked for my whole family by cheque we still went though we had to sell my late parents possesions they had left us amd she cried i hope they all rot in hell hpoefully we should get a percentage of the money back but i cant replace my late parents possesions

Hi there, no news yet! Hopefully it won't be too long, after all the Met. Police DID contact us with the claim forms so we should be getting something back. If anyone hears anything further, please post the information to keep everyone updated. Cheers.

Just to let everyone know, a hearing has been set for 3rd November 2008 in order to establish the assets of the defendants, as all assets may not have been revealed. A further hearing may be set after this date if nothing is conclusive. So no compensation news until at least that time.

has anyone heard anything from the police yet with reagrd to getting compensation,

i have filled in the form but have not heard anything since.
