Hi, my best friend and I (2 girls, 29 and a young 34) are planning to go to a sunshine holiday on 13-20 December. Can someone recommend us a place to go? Due to budget and time we can only stay in Europe. I heard alot about Tenerife and Gran Canaria, but which is the best place that is warm enough for some sunbathing and with lots of nice bars to go in the evening? I know nothing is guarantteed but would like to choose a place with the greatest possibility of having some hot days!

Your help will be much appreciated! Thanks a lot!

J

Either, 1 think i am right in quoting that All the Canary Islands, Boast 320 +Days of Sunshine, every year!!
Tenerife offers to cater for every taste, and you would be hard pressed not to enjoy, especially if you hire a car. Plenty of Boats trips available too!!
Gran-Canaria has always proved hotter, especially in December for us,
however thats staying in the South of the island, in Puert-Rico.
Where ever you choose you are sure to Enjoy!!

We went to Tenerife last December and the weather was perfect. Temperatures were in the early to mid twenties everyday. In fact, spent Boxing Day in my bikini on El Duque beach and took photos of the sun just to show everyone back home how wonderful it was! We enjoyed it so much we decided not to have a summer break this year and we booked to go back again this December. Take a cardi for the evenings though because once the sun goes down it can get a bit chilly, but you don't mind that when you're sat at a harbour-side restaurant with a glass of wine in your hand.

Can't comment on Gran Canaria, but happy to answer any questions about Tenerife in December if I can.

Hi Weare looking to go somewhere in January. Thought about Tenerife, and also Costa del Sol. Has anyone been to these at this time of year and have an idea of what the weather is likely to be. Whatever it is like it has got to be better than here surely!!
Thanks
