| They have been around for sometime now but remember they are a site scraper. As in they will be paid a commission if you purchase from their recommendations.
But I have used the site on numerous occasions with no problems.

| I have always used Esure as I compare the Covers and limits etc and they normally work out best for our family.

| The most important cover after medical treatment expenses is repatriation ie bringing you home in an emergency and also some dont cover muggings and hijackings etc , just check them all and compare.
I wouldnt touch tour operator Insurance as it covers you for very little, even if they offer it free, still get your own.

Hello Missy,
Without starting to sound like your mother, as you get ready to go out on your first serious date.
Do really read or check all small print, cheap is not the best.
Things like being over the alcohol limit, riding mopeds, banana boat rides, para-gliding, some coach tours, or doing anything that carries a warning, can cancel part or all of many policies. Annual policies are excellent value, as these also cover most holiday trips in the UK, or that day trip to France.
In general lost luggage, passports, missed flights, medical expenses, are covered to a set amount, these are clearly set out, in ‘conditions' Look under ‘what is not covered carefully'
Get several quotes before deciding.

| Also if your doing a DIY holiday booking flights /hotel seperate, tell them it is NOT a package holiday, sometimes it does matter,
in fact,, get on the plane, off at other end,, SIT on a sunbed for 2 weeks ( dont move ) back on plane and home,,,,,,, you will be covered,, if you MOVE you may not be ... ( sorry,, sad outlook with holiday insurance )
Make sure you tell them if your on ANY medication.

| We have used Boots the Chemist Annual Insurance for many years, as i'm on medication i'm still covered, for the two of us annual insurance cover costs £79. the price has been the same for the past few years. When I renewed this year I asked many questions even though it's all stated in black and white. What your covered for and what your not. I checked out many insurance companies and can't find one that beats Boots Price with the same amount of cover.
Like Jan said don't forget to inform the insurance company if you are on medication, or you might not be covered.
I would not touch holiday company insurance even though it is free, if anything happens your probably not covered. As we found out many years ago. The rep tells you one thing, then when you try to claim your told your not covered. So beware.
Listen to Tenpin...you can't go far wrong...
Cheapest isnt always the best cover.

| Trouble with Travel Insurance is you dont know how good or bad they are until you have to make a claim unfortunately. We know how bad they are at paying out at everything else.

| My husband and I both have medical conditions and my husband is 75. The best and most resonable cover we have come across is SAGa. Worth a call.

| Had insurance with "Insure & Go" last year. Had to make a claim but after sending in the Police report and as many receipts or other information as possible we got our claim paid-out, took about 4-6weeks.
Unfortunatley it didn't cover hire-cars.
