| We are trying to find somwhere to go this August for 1 week as a couple, where there is unlikely to be any kids as our children are taking a holiday with grandparents. Does anyone know of somewhere hot, interesting and within 4 hours flight time ?

| hi how about thomson gold at the coronas playa in costa teguise lanzarote.
no children are allowed under the age of 16 and the hotel is right next to the beach and a nice 10 minute walk to the center of teguise.
take an excursion to the volcan grill and watch the sunset over the volcanoes in the national park while you have a meal and wine in the resaurant, the meat is cooked over the hot lava.
hope this helps,tom.

| How about Santorini or Mykonos they are lovely greek islands which are mainly visited by adults because there isnt much to do for kids.
Both of these are very scenic and picturesque. Mind you it depends how fit your Grandparents are, if they have walking difficulties/wheelchairs you may want to avoid places with lots of steps etc and look for smewhere flat.
As Tom said a lot of resorts in the canaries are quite flat.

| Can I recommend the Ibiscus Hotel in Rhodes, a more mature clientele oriented establishment. No Kids Club, NO entertainment. Just good food and nice surroundings.
(I like it so much I'm going back next month!)
