where to go at xmas with the kids?

I am going to break family tradition and book a xmas holiday, My kids are 14, 7 & 4. I have been looking at Gran Canaria, but as hubby & i have been there before i'm a bit dubious. What i really want to know is Where can i give the kids a nice warm xmas by the pool without spending more than 5 hours flying from Ireland? Also what should i expect of xmas out foreign thanks

Jeanie55 you cant go much wrong with going to tenerife nearly always guaranteed sunshine.playa las americas has plent going on for eveyone,or if you want it a little more quiet try los christianos up the coast alittle bit but still a lovely walk into americas.

As soon as you said Xmas break with warm weather etc I immediately thought of Tenerife it is definately the place to go with so much to do, lovely weather and nice people! I would recommend it 110%! Ive been there about 7 times now all at different times of the year and the weather rarely changes!
