Has anyone stayed at the Catalonia Bavaro Beach, Golf and Casino Resort and if so what is it like?

I have never been to the Dominican Republic before so all info on the island would be much appreciated. Is the sea clear? Are the beaches clean? Is the food nice? What are the locals like? I am going for my honeymoon and I want it to be perfect.
