Dom Rep weather in October?

Hi - Just joined today. We're off to the Dom Rep (Iberostrar Costa Dorada) in October. Can anyone tell me wht the weather is like at that time of year. We've been to the Caribbean in May - rain, June - rain so thought we'd try a little bit later!

Hi I was there last year last week in sept and 1st week in october.
The weather was a bit weird and not half as hot as i expected.
Most days around about 3-4 ish it lashed it down heavy, sometimes its cleared up few times it lasted all night.
Our hotel provided a golf brolly to use but I only took flip flops so had a few nights of wet feet.
A few mornings it was dull until about 11 ish but on average we got about 4 hours of hot sunshine but was not unbearable.

Thanks - Best I pack a brolly and wellies! Think I can leave the diamante sandals and floaty dresses at home! LOL

hello went there myself to the same hotel in october first week fab second rain and over cast this year giong again but too baravo on the east happy hols

Im headed to Cabarete in January.. anyone been there? How was the weather and surf conditions?
