| Hi
We are about to book up all inclusive at the Gran Ventana Beach Resort in Dominican Republic in June.
Can anyone help please with a query? I have been trying to find out whether it is the rainy season or hurricane season out there I dont want to be amongst it if it is. Please can someone help me out here.
Has anyone been all inclusive to Gran Ventana and if so, what did you think of it. How long is it on the plane.... I dont think I have any more questions yet......
If anyone could assist I would be grateful.
Cheers

| Hi Chrissey, we have booked for Mexico in June and that is also the hurricane season but it's the beginning and someone told me hurricanes usually occur later in the season, ie August onwards, so do as we are. Go and enjoy it and forget the hurricanes. If you are all inclusive and one comes along, just hide in the bar!!!

| Hi there,
I have just got back from the Gran Ventana hotel in the Dominican Republic. Arrived back yesterday after 2 weeks of bliss. I have sent in a report which is awaiting publication. It will be posted under my name P Burton. It is quite indepth, but to be brief till it appears, it was the best holiday I have ever had. Best hotel, best staff, food, drink, everything. Only slight downside is some of the nightly entertainment was a bit on the "Butlins" scale but you soon get to live with this as the cocktails slip down. :D
If you read my review in the next couple of days and want to ask me anything inparticular please feel free to drop me and E-Mail or post your specific questions on here.
Oh and in answer to your couple of questions, it was a 9 hour flight there, 20 mins transfer to the hotel, and an 8 hour flight back.
Weather was hot as hell every day less one day when there was 3 hours of rain, but thats what the swim up bar is for :-)
Regards
Pete

| Hey:
We got back yesterday... had a fantastic time! So much so, we're booking for the 4th June next year! Meeting up with a couple we met this year, who are going to reniew their wedding vows.
Our room was right outside the wedding gazibo, so we saw quite a few weddings, they all looked beautiful! Red carpet with fresh flowers sprinkled. We spoke to another couple who got married there, and said they were very pleased with it, and their day was perfect.
