Solo traveller needs advice

Hi,

I'm, female in my early 20s, looking to go to Dom Rep in mid Jan 08 for a week. But I'm not sure what to expect in an all inclusive holiday with First Choice on my own. I've certainly narrowed down my hotel choices to Sun Village Resort & Spa @ Corfresi, Gran Ventana Beach Resort and Occidental Allegro both @ Playa Dorada.

Would anyone else like to share their solo experience in terms of which resort to stay, places to visit and safety?

whatever you do dont go to the one in cofresi trust me it would be the biggest mistake ever the place is awful!!!!
i stayed at the hacienda over the road whatever you do dont do it
its dirty and you see things that you will have to look twice at!!

Me and my mate have just booked to fly out on the 31st dec, for new years. We're staying at playa dorada at blue bay villa's' I have travelled a fair bit but don't have a clue what to expect!!! You'll find us northern lads sippin ****** on the beach around there somewhere, probably drunk doin backflips!!
