| Went to North Coast of DR for the last 2 weeks in May. At first we had heavy rain during early evening but after a couple of days we didn't have any more. Also been in July and September (which can be the hurricane season!) but apart from odd heavy showers the weather was perfect. Have also been to South Coast in May and had some rain during the afternoon on some of the days, usually heavy showers but as soon as it stops the sun comes out and it's as hot as before. Can't say that any of the rain spoilt any of the holidays, in most cases it came as a welcome relief to the heat!
