| i was on holoiday here with my husband and son 4yr ago , we fell in love with the place, and we talked about moving here, we discussed it for a long time, found out what we thought was enough info about the place, we came up with an idea on how to make a living by setting up our own quadbike business seeing as there was only one more in town for competion, we thought we would do realy well.
well we have had one nightmare after another, just by trusting the wrong people. my first nightmare was when we got of the plane my suitcase was left in amsterdame, i didn't see it for a week and a half it was a good job i wasn't on holiday, my next nightmare was... we had a friend who said they had a spare apartment for us to stay in, and they said it was ready for us, when realy it was not wich was a reliefe realy for when i looked at it , there was actualy 6 apartments (3 above 3)and only one of them was actualy liveable (ish) and our friend was in that, the other five was a breese block shell with no windows ,no doors, no roof, and mud for floors, there was no bathroom, no kitchen, basicaly a shit hole and i had just came from a nice home in england, so we had to stay in hotels for a while, until one of the other appartments was suitable for our friend to move in so we could have their place, 3 hotels later 3 months also we moved in, with a huge part of our budget gone on what wasn't expected, well i didn't enjoy living there for 3months i lived with out electric no sofa no tv was so boiling hot all my close was getting ruined from the humidity even worse han normal without a roof over my ceiling, i had to hand wash all our close and all that was still in boxes i did that everyday for 3 months, hell.we had a dominican living next door to us who turned out to be a drug dealer , every day there was so many people coming and going i didn't feel safe at all , one day i went home with my son and there was 10- 15 drug police looking for him all ready to shoot, scary, didn't get him, dam it. another day this bloke went and shot someone in the village and we had to hide out in an empy house nearby incase people came looking for him very frightning that was also my husbands 40th great day for him. all this time we were not working for our quadbike had to come from china and we were waiting on our lawyer. we final got our bikes and moved we took our friend with us and allowed him to live with us we payed for all rent and food still no legal paper work from our lawyer who said we would have our papers with in 3months wich had passed now so with out that we couldn't work, he kept on giving us excuses all the time, another 3 months passed no papers, we could afford that rent anymore so we moved to a cheaper apartment 10 months later no paper work, no work , no money , we had been living of rice for too long thank goodness for our family in england were helping us or god knows where will would be, 21 months later was 2 months ago we finaly got our paper work but still need to be stamped, we were lucky enough that family sold up in england to join us so we are now living with them we are now looking for an office but have no money and our quadbike are ruined from the salt from the sea not using them and no money to maintain them, we have ben through hell and back but we are still here i am learning to smile again some how, we are nearly there, oneday we will laugh at it all what has kept me going is the fact that england now is too expensive for what you get in return, i was n't happy there, i love this place stil and after what we've gone through you would have to drag me away kicking and screaming i've always said two years of hell out of 50 years happiness is n't much at all lets just hope it all goes well now, cos i realy cant stand not being able to put my hand in my pocket to payfor somthing any more, my advice stay away from lawyers and men begining with the letter V

| Sorry to hear about the troubled time youve been having over the pond.
Unexpected things happen, and sometimes can seem really daunting, making life as hard as you can imagine it. Once you've bypassed these obstacles you realise how much of a weight its lifted and a stronger person you have become because of the experience.
Remember: When life throws you lemons, make lemonade!
All the best, good luck and god bless
