| Staying at Hacienda Dominicus in July. I do not like large spiders and was wondering if many find there way into the resort. Read a review where someone had seen " loads of tarantulas crawling over a liquor stores walls and three on the ceiling in the toilet". This was on a trip out so i thought i would its best if i avoid the jungle safari. Any information appreciated as i would like to know what to expect....thanks

Wondering if you can now advise me!!I am also petrified of spiders and am due to go to Riu mambo in puerto plata i also read the same review as you did and it has scared the hell out of me!Did you see any whilst you were there?

| Im also goin g to Riu mambo 6 weeks on friday, i'm not scared of apider but my boyfriend is so should be fun. if i'm there same time as you ill get rid of them for you ha ha.
What date do you go??

| Hi back from thr riu mambo and the only spiders i seen was the little ants that you get in most hot places, i had quiet a few mossie bites even though i used spray I thing it back there is loads of trees about.
any questions ask!!!

| I promise i seen non!! I did the jungle trip as well and didnt some across any there just donleys and chickens and a few cats

despite the sickness at the riu we never saw any spiders only once saw a squashed cockroach in a communal passage way which was there about 2 days.
