mmmmm :- I Think you have took this post abit of track, isnt it better to allow them to drink while your there & know about it , than them going out behind your back gettin steaming.

Most people are resonable & yes we all have had times where we've had a bit to much to drink & for that we feel the affects next day. Im 18 and when i go out i go out to have a good time, not to get steamin, Yes i drink , but dont get rat faced, i know when to stop.

Do any parents now days , actully say to there Teenagers your not drinking till your 18 ?????????...

I Have not booked yet :( My friend said she might not have enough funds to go ..... But if not theres always may holiday to go :) .....Im the one with Dark hair on the left ! Thats me :) Hahaha....

Oh & thanks very much everyone for all you information ................................ Jen x

id rather laura stay with me and learned how to act sensible with a drink than go off with her mates drinking out of a bottle on some street corner (not that she would!!)
i dont think theres anything wrong with haveing a drink on holiday its how you behave when doing it!! so yes im ok and dont have a problem telling people that laura drinks!!

mmmm no i dont have a problem with laura drinking at 15 on holiday she acts a lot grownup than some grown ups when shes had a drink!! (not that she drinks a lot!!)
there is no problem with her haveing a drink with me on holiday id rather her do that that sneak off to some corner drinking out of bottles at least she has learned that its not a race to see how many drinks she can down and how legless she can get in a short time!!
she is a very sensible girl, and half the time wants a soft drink but a least she knows she has the choice,
so no i dont have a problem telling people she drinks!!

Just got back from Egypt and i'm 18 and had no problem getting served with alcohol :)
Didn't get asked for i.d or anything so you should be ok!

We got talking to one of the waiters at the hotel..and he seemed to think you have to be 21 to get into Pacha, so i'm not sure how easy it is to get into! I wanted to try and get in, but its expensive to get in!

Drinking is not at all enforced in egypt because they want to make money and alcohol is taxed a lot in egypt so if you are at any age like 13 come to egypt to drink. i have been drinking in egypt since i was 13, and i have been drinking in german since i was 15, and again in germany they don't enforce the drinking age. I mean egypt is a shitty country if you are an american living here going to AUC(which is the best university in the middle east btw), but the beer cancels it out. i would tell you where all the best places for drinking in egypt is but then everyone would go to them; and it would suck. lol
