Hi Jen,
Well, I have looked at a few sites and most come up with ... 21. These sites being Egypt info/tourism and the like.
Not sure how that age limit works in hotels, I have never been.
Ask who booked with, they should be able to tell you about the age limit.
As for Pacha, it doesn't really say anything about the age limit on their website.
Lets hope someone will be able to offer some first hand info.
Bex.

We went to Sharm in August last year and spoke to tourist police who told us the age limit for drinking was 18.
Bear in mind that Sharm is not policed by Egyptian Police force so Egyptian laws are not always the same as those being used.
Hope this puts your mind at ease.

Is this something to advertise, that you allowed your daughter of 15 to drink?

Is supervised drinking on holiday not better than sneaking about and binge drinking in the park?
I have always allowed my children to have a drink on holiday and at xmas. My daughter now drinks very rarely and is 20. My 18 year old son drinks only on special occasions and my 17 year old son only drinks at parties and occasionally at home.
We have always spoken about the dangers and effects of binge drinking and drinking to excess.
Its personal choice how we deal with it and depends on the individual family. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another,

Agree with you there Digs
My chav had her first taste of (diluted) wine on Christmas day a few years ago when she was 12! She hated it.
Since then she has consumed alcohol under supervision and has never had more than one or two. Even this is limited to two or three times a year!
Her mother is Swiss and was brought up by her French mother on wine since the age of 10! It teaches respect and controlled consumption.
Chav's now 15 and I will be allowing her an occasional drink on holiday in a few weeks.
Of course this discipline doesn't apply to her father....hehe

Our middle daughter enjoyed a glass of wine on a Sunday from around the age of five, now 21 and rarely drinks. Youngest, 15, has suddenly found a liking to G and T... so at family parties is allowed, under our supervision, and hopefully she too shall not feel the need to drink binge - think we may be going off topic here!!!!
