Travel from Airport to Elounda

We would love to go to Elounda next summer, but our daughter gets travel sick when travelling on mountainous/windy roads. Can anyone advise me as to how bad the drive is between the airport and Elounda? And how long it takes?

about 2-21/2 hours , depends how fast the coach is
Generally the roads are not too bad in crete , the main leg of the journey is along the national highway, wich is baisicly a dual carrageway, just the odd twist n turn going down into elounda ,but nothing major.
