| Me and my girlfriend are looking for somewhere to go for our first holiday,We are looking for somewhere pretty quiet but with quite a few museums and nice landscapes as opposed to lively nightlife!A good zoo would be a bonus :) anyone know of anywhere that would suit?

| Hi Dan,
Welcome to holiday watchdog, take a look round the verious forums that might give you an idea. Click on links at side to read reviews of other members who have been there.
My suggestion might be Bruges or Lisbon, Cascais just outside has a nice Zoo. both are nice relaxing places

| Hi,
Last year we went to Veliko Tarnovo in Bulagaria. We stayed in an apartment close to cafes and restaurants so had the choice of self-catering or eating out. Veliko is a beautiful town nestled in the mountains and you can relax and enjoy the history of the town, go trailwalking, horseriding, swimming, off-roading, visit monastaries etc etc. The night life is available but not in your face and it is not unusual to see families with young children eating out at night, the Tsaravets castle light show is also one not to miss.
PLUS the owner of the apartment is a complementary therapist and really helped with my back problems while we were there.
For more information contact the owners at their email address: vthomeandhealth@live.com.

| Me and my boyfriend are going around Europe for a month on interrail for our first proper holiday together. That way you get a bit of everywhere. You can get tickets for shorter periods than a month too.

| Hi Dan
when you say holiday - are you looking for a break or a week plus?
For a break I would say Holland/Amsterdam as there is something for everyone and if you hop on the train you can see a lot more surrounding.
For a holiday I love Italy. There is Venice, I stayed just outside which was more cost effective and easy to travel into by train and Tuscany, which is so beautiful.
