hi looking to go to kl then penang or langkawi around june 07 . weve done thailand singapore hong kong bali now were looking at malaysia. we know enough about kl but wanted any ideas on langkawi or penang. on the hole these 2 resorts look similar to us penang is cheaper.we like somewhere to sunbath and relax in the day and to explore a bit at night . but been told langkawi is a bit to laid back and not a lot to do. where as penang is livelier. give us your thoughts

Hiya Andy,
Of the two Panang is certainly better, either the night life in town, or the night markets beach side. Worth thinking about is hiring a car and driver. cost us �40 a day when we were there, take a look at the pretty boys show, great laugh.
Langkawi more of a beach and hotel island, if you want to see it you can also get a ferry there from Panang.
KL is just awesome.
