| Is nobody going to complain with me regards BA selling off its franchise GB Airways to Easyjet.
Like myself many people have booked flights from Manchester to Tenerife with BA for after the end of March, without knowing it will then be Easyjet.
I was told that I can fly with Easyjet or get a refund BUT not until its all completed.
So they keep everbodies money with interest until its completed and BA are still taking bookings for after March without telling people it will be Easyjet they will be flying with.
I can find nobody to take on BA with regards this matter, I have tried Watchdog and others, does any one know how to take the likes of BA

| I thought that GB Airways had been sold to a private investement firm a while back. As far as i understand it the planes continued to operate in BA livery and with BA flight codes but where infact a seperate company, so you havent been flying with the real BA for a while.

| I think you will find that GBAirways has been always owned, since its creation, by the Gaggero family , who also own many other businesses including the Rock Hotel in Gibraltar.
A franchise deal was signed with British Airways many years ago. Yes they have used the BA livery but with the addition of a logo on the plane stating that it is one of the GBAirways fleet.
There are very many people who will miss GBAirways and will definately NOT by flying easyJet.
British Airways will still be flying some of GBAirway's routes, particularly the London-Málaga sector which is ideal for most of the Costa del Sol.

| I for one will never fly Easyjet! it is very sad as this means the end of a civilised holiday in most of Europe. Everybody likes a deal but the marketing folks at Easyjet are very good at conning us about how cheap their flights are, but they are not. I regularly fly to Nice with British Airways and often check the Easyjet website for comparisons, and in all cases Easyjet are more expensive, and that is before you have paid for your luggage, coffee or drink on board and privilege of breathing!! also their timetable is not good unless you like getting up at 3 in the morning! it is the power of marketing that makes people believe they are cheaper when they most certainly are not. it can work on a shorthaul flight for 2 hours but I am not flying 5 hours to Sharm el Sheik with them.
